Sometimes heart-centered coaches are not fans of social media, and I get it, but here’s how you can use social media to improve your money flow without feeling overwhelmed or slimed with dark energy.

Let’s face it; social media is a powerful marketing tool. It’s actually pretty darn awesome. I started my business in the dark ages when blogs were just becoming a thing, and social media has many advantages over those old blog days.

Of course, it also has its disadvantages. It’s fast-paced. It’s a lot of information or energy to absorb at one time. It can feel overwhelming. It’s very much a place where you’ll be seen more than you might be comfy with just yet.

Not to worry, though. You can still use social media, even if you’re sensitive to energy, and allow it to support your business without making you feel totally ick.

One of the biggest advantages of social media is you can circle up a group of people who are interested in what you do and connect with them in a little silo that’s not seen by everyone on the interweb.

This is why I love Facebook Groups.

Everyone worries about tending to Facebook Groups, but I promise you, it doesn’t feel hard. This is because your Facebook Group is your fun little zone where you get to share with people who are really lovely humans, and if someone isn’t kind, you can remove them. You get to do your coachy thing in your group and connect with ideal clients. It’s a blast! And, very helpful for your business.

It’s a really simple way to consistently connect with ideal clients and promote your work. My Facebook Group has brought in hundreds of thousands of dollars into my business.

The other advantage you’ll get from using social media is it helps you really refine your messaging, your voice, and your confidence, quickly. You get almost instant feedback when you put something on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or whatever platform you choose.

You can tell pretty quickly if your message is landing with the right people and if it’s effectively drawing clients toward you. This allows you to experiment a lot, which is really the key to getting your messaging to work for you.

And, the other great thing about social media is that you get to choose how you use it. If you’re sensitive to energy, I recommend my cocooning technique.

This means that you decide when and how much you’re going to use social media. You go there, you do your thing, and then you retreat.

When you retreat, you really retreat. You cocoon up in a blanket with a cup of tea, turn off your phone, and take time for you, away from all social media. You don’t look at your notifications or read any comments. You simply pull your energy away from social media and take a break.

A few things can help with this.

Removing the app from your phone during your allotted cocoon time.
Trusting when you do and don’t want to be on social media.
Posting your business posts on a schedule.

I tend to organize my social media time. I will go onto social media to post for my business, look at friend suggestions, answer any comments, and check my groups. Then, I’m out.

Often, I actually delete the apps off my phone for the weekend. If I want to post something, I’ll re-add the app just to do that, or do it on my computer.

Cocoon time means you really don’t engage with social media. It’s vital that you still have time for meditating, going inward, being, and connecting to yourself.

This is what will allow you to feel more outgoing and ready to connect with people on social media. You will be doing it on your terms!

And, that leads to the final advantage of social media; connection.

It’s an amazing way to meet new people, both clients and colleagues, and form amazing new connections.

All in all, presenting information about the work you do on social media is a super powerful way to bring money into your business, and it doesn’t mean you have to live on social media at all.

Figuring out the best social media plan for your business and helping you set up a content plan, group, and more is a big part of my one-month 1-1 VIP program. We’ll make sure that your messaging is clear and attracts the right people, get you set up with never-ending ideas for your social media content, and work through any fears you might have about being seen.

I’ll help you to organize or create your signature program in a way that feels totally aligned with how you work so that you’re not running yourself into the ground with tending to your program and marketing your business on social media. I’ll even let you know when you need to cocoon so that you can develop this new habit while we’re working together.

You may not have ever had a business coach who sends you messages that tell you to stop working on your business and go rest or do something fun. 😂 You’ll be getting those from me! My superpower is to help you truly give yourself permission to work differently - and still make the money you want to make.
