That Time My Life Exploded (Scorched-Earth-Style)

When my daughter was born, my whole life kind of exploded. It took a few years to fall apart, but by the time she was six, it was a scorched earth situation.

I went through a major health crisis related to birth (and genetics, it turns out), and it took me five years to regain any sense of normalcy in my physical well-being. My marriage slowly died and ended in divorce. Friendships dissolved.

It was a time of rebirth that I entered with a fair amount of resistance and horror, lol!

The only thing that the Universe didn’t burn to the ground during those years was my business. I’m pretty sure the Universe had some clear plans for me around my work, and it was looking out for my relationship with my daughter, which is more important to me than anything in the world.

As you can imagine, though, it wasn’t the easiest thing to run a business during all those crises. (Oh, and toss in a pandemic right after I survived all of that, just for the heck of it, right?!)

During that time, I invented a system for running my business that I call the Slacker Magic System. I HAD to switch from trying to do things perfectly in my business to slacking wherever I could because there was no other way to accomplish everything necessary to make a living as a coach.

I had to work fewer hours but be more efficient.

I had to have ways to step away from the business to care for my personal life without the business failing.

I had to have a clear, powerful way to access my inner wisdom to run my business, because hustling was not an option.

I had to have ways to work and NOT work when my body wasn’t feeling well.

In the end, that horrific few years gave me the gift of the Slacker Magic System, which is how I run my business now on four days a week, during school hours, with time off to take care of myself and to be with my girl. Now it’s a well-oiled machine.

To anyone on my email list or following me on social, it might look like I’m violently busy with all the programs and coaching I do. However, I’m not. I’m having a great time in my personal life. I’m taking vacations, I’m out of the office weekly for me time, I’m in a fantastic new relationship and skip work to hang out with my man on the regular, and I spend TONS of time with my daughter during the work week.

The Slacker Magic System gives me all of this! And, it gives me the ability to make $250K in my business while having a great time in my personal life.
